Attendance Information
Attendance is the first step in student achievement. Missing a day of school is a missed opportunity for your child to learn, have fun with their friends, and see their teacher.
If your child is absent, campuses will contact the parent or guardian in order to maintain accurate attendance records. You may contact the attendance clerk of your child’s school to notify them of any absence by clicking the Attendance Notes link below and attach a parent/doctor’s note. A parent or doctor’s note will be required when a child returns to school. An individual commits an offense if the individual fails to attend school on ten (10) or more days or parts of days within a six (6) month period or on three (3) or more days or parts of days within a four (4) week period.
Drop Off & Pick Up Information
Morning Car Rider Procedures (see picture below)
- Car riders may be dropped off in front of the school at 7:45 am. Car riders may also be dropped off by the cafeteria from 7:45 am - 8:30 am. After 8:30 am, students will need to be dropped off in front of the school, as the side doors will be locked and no adults will be present.
- Staff members will be available in both locations to greet and assist in this process.
Car Rider Dismissal Procedures (see picture below)
To ensure a safe and smooth dismissal, please review the following guidelines:

Dismissal begins at 3:55 PM. Car riders are loaded from the cafeteria starting at this time.

Traffic Flow: Cars will enter the side parking lot. Once a line is formed, parents must drive to the end of Cumberland Drive and make a U-turn to join the end of the line.– Do not cut in front of cars already in line. There will be cones to guide you.

Forming 2 Lines: Once you enter the parking lot, a staff member will direct you to form two lines.– Once you are directed to a certain lane, do not switch lines.

Pull-Up Procedure: Pull as close as possible to the car in front of you and stop next to your designated cone.– There are 7 color-coded cones to help with organization.

Leaving the Parking Lot- A staff member will be at the front of the 2 lines. Once all 7 students have been loaded into the cars, the staff member will direct you when to begin exiting the parking lot in a single line. Please do not cut through the parking lot, as safety is our biggest priority.

Still Waiting on Your Student?– If all other students at the cones are loaded and your child hasn’t arrived, you will be asked to pull forward next to the gym.– Your child will be brought to your vehicle to help the line keep moving.

Car Rider Tags are Required:
– All vehicles must have a campus-issued 2026-2027 car rider tag. Tag colors change every year.
– Tags can be obtained in the front office. A valid ID is required. (Will be available at Meet the Teacher Night)
– Place the tag on your rearview mirror for visibility and leave it there until your child is picked up. -
No Tag = No Release: If someone attempts to pick up a student without the correct car tag, they will be required to enter the front of the building and present proper identification.

No Walk-Ups: Parents may not walk up to the building to pick up car riders.
Afternoon Walker Procedures (see picture below)
To ensure student safety during dismissal, please note the following:

All walkers will gather inside the building at a designated location.

Once all walkers are accounted for, staff members will walk them together out the front doors and escort them across Cumberland Boulevard by the front entrance parking lot.

An adult must be present to meet each walker on the other side of Cumberland Boulevard

If no adult is present, the student will return to the school with staff, and a parent will be called for pick-up.

No child will be released to walk home alone—no exceptions.

Dismissal begins at 3:55 p.m. Bus riders will be dismissed from the front of the building and will need a SMARTtag. Car riders will be loaded by the cafeteria. A car-rider tag must be visible for parents to pick up a student via the car-rider line. Those without a car-rider tag will have to enter the school and check out their student using their ID.
